Goodbye Saturn.

As many of you know Jon was involved in a car accident about 2 1/2 weeks ago. He was driving to West Valley with a co-worker for a training. It was raining super hard and the freeway was way crappy. The girl that was in front of Jon lost control of her car, slid into the other lanes, then came back into her lane and Jon couldn't avoid her. Luckily, no one was injured. Just a few bumps and bruises. We finally found out yesterday from our insurance that they don't think they can do anything to save our little car. So, we know begin the wonderful chore of finding a new car. YAY!! It has been a little hard on me because we have had this car for 8 years. I have loved it. It has been the best little car and got way good gas mileage. It will be good to get something bigger for us so that the girls aren't pestering each other quite as easily. Goodbye my little Saturn. May your parts make someone else's car better.

My Ouchies.

Close up of my leg
The nice bruise on my right leg.

So in February, I was walking around the corner in the hallway and ran straight into my cedar chest. Yes my cedar chest is in our hallway. It has an edge on it that is vary pointy and is at the right height just above my knee. This was taken about a week after I did it. It was a very beautiful color of purple and blue, lasted for about 3 weeks, and hurt all the time. In fact I still have some pain there occasionally. Crazy I know. Then a day after my 28 birthday I decided that work was just way to boring for me, so after coming home from work I started to do dishes. While doing dishes I came across our vegetable slicer and thought to myself, "I wonder what this will do to me if I wash straight down the blade?" Just kidding I really didn't think that because I was to distracted with the girls fighting and wasn't paying attention to what I was doing. So, I sliced open my first finger on my right hand, wound up in the ER at 9:30 at night and received 9 stitches, an antibiotic, and an updated tetanus shot (even thought I had one done about 5 1/2 years ago). So after my arm hurting for about 4 days and 10 days after getting stitches I now have an awesome fingerprint that I can show everyone. Sorry the only picture I have of my finger is on Jon's phone. YAY for being graceful!!!!

Updates and Such!

This is what I came home to one night after work. Maddie was watching TV and sucking on her toe. What a crazy kid!!
She has to twirl her hair while drinking her moo juice. She has done this ever since she was tiny and it used to be my hair, but she has now graduated to her own and will twirl it so tight her finger turns purple.
Maddie modeling her new outfit from Christmas.
Carlie in her new outfit too.

Where has the time gone? I swear I just updated this not that long ago and now it has been 2 months. We had a great Christmas and the girls were spoiled like always. Those pictures will have to come later. We loved spending lots of time with both families and having lots of parties. I will have to post pictures from our annual Hancock family party. We played Minute to Win It and it was hilarious!!!! So much black mail, so little time!

The girls have been keeping us busy with school, dance, and running around the house. We are finally getting over being sick for the last week. We all got something nasty and the couch was our best friend along with lots of movies.

Well, time to go chase kids! More to come later!!
I will leave you in suspense and give you a hint. Me being graceful. Think on that blogger world!

Arizona

Jared graduating from COTA
All done!!!
Aedan (Jared's mini me)
Rhees and Ainslee
Mya waiting patiently to get on the airplane and thinking this is taking forever.

A month ago I went to Arizona with Nikki, Mya and my parents for my brother's graduation from COTA (correctional officer training). Nikki and I surprised him. It was so much fun to be there for that special occasion in his life.
We went to the zoo with his cute family and had lots of fun. The kids are so funny and have grown so much since the last time I saw them. It was so hard to leave them but nice to come back to my little monkeys.
The day we were supposed to come home our plane had "issues" and Nikki and I were stuck in Arizona longer than we had planned. But luckily after 3 flight and about 16 hours sitting in airports we finally landed in SLC and we were so grateful to finally touch Utah soil. Mya was the best baby on that trip. She didn't make one sound the whole time we flew and was so happy and kept Nik and I going. I am grateful that Nikki was there with me so I didn't go insane. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to go visit with my brother and his cute family. Thanks to Jon for being home with the girls while I was gone. I sure did miss all of them. And thanks to Mom and Dad for letting us tag along. It was a lot of fun.
Congrats Jay! I love you and am so proud of all your accomplishments!!

Hair

Before
Look very close and you will see it

After. Notice how happy she is in this picture.

Yesterday I was in the kitchen cleaning up and talking with my mom on the phone when Carlie walked in and said, " Don't be mad, Mom". When she says something like that, I tend to react the way she doesn't want me to. So, as calmly as I can, I asked what she did. And her reply was, "I cut my hair". No big deal, I tell myself, since she did this once before but it was a couple of centimeters off the end of her pony tail and the only way I found out was because I found some hairs that were not mine on the table.
Well, after a couple of minutes it finally sunk in what she had just told me. So I look at her and there is a big chunk missing from the front of her hair. Naturally, I freaked out. She started to cry because she knew what she had done got the exact reaction she didn't want from me. I asked her why she would cut her beautiful hair when she replied she just wanted it cut.
Well, I can't let her go to school like this, so we hurried and got dressed and went to Walmart to have it fixed. 6 inches of long, beautiful, blond hair and this mommy trying not to cry later, she has a cute new do. She is so excited about her new locks. What a little stinker.
But I will admit, she looks adorable with her new cut. Makes her look older and so cute. LOVE IT!!
